Jenneane was born May 31, 1936 in Snyder, TX to the late Weldon & Maurine Simpson. She married Eddie Watson on June 26, 1955. She was president of the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi in the early 70’s and was president of the Women’s Club at BCC for several years in the 90’s. Along with her husband Eddie, owned Chandler Auto Supply until retiring in 1995. She also teamed up with her daughters in an embroidering business for several years. She was a member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ.
She lovingly cared for her namesake Aunt Ova Chandler until her death in 2001. Along with Aunt Ova, her mother Maurine and her other Aunt Glenna “Poodle” were three of the most influential women that helped her to be the strong, independent person she was.
Some of her favorite things were cooking for family & friends, watching her grandchildren’s sports activities and caring for her great-grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday and would send cards with a sweet message.
