Jason Wayne Jones was born on June 29, 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the parents of Jimmy and Ann Jones. Jason is a graduate of Plano High School and Howard Payne University. A natural born salesman, Jason spent his career in sales starting with the family business, Jones Custom Products and the last five years as a field representative for TXU Commercial.
Jason had a kind spirit with an infectious laugh that made you laugh along with him. He was a great cook and delighted family and friends with his culinary feasts. Family gatherings revolved around the kitchen with laughter and often assisting Jason as sous chefs. Jason never met a stranger and enjoyed talking about current events. Jason died in his sleep at his home on the family farm.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Ann Jones of Brownwood; a brother, Marc and wife Stacy of Rockwall, his aunt Sharron and Wade Brincefield of Brownwood, great aunt Dorothy of Odessa and cousins, Shannon Brincefield of Brownwood, Lori McGown and Kristi McGown of Plano and Jan Kent of Sherman plus numerous friends and his beloved dog Monkey.Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelda Long, Roy Long, J.W. and LaVerne Jones, and his Aunt Gladys Seward.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2016 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.
