Janice Clement Shaffstall passed away on Dec, 30, 2014 after a long battle with dementia.
Born on 5/22/42 to Marion and Ollie Mae Clement, Janice grew up in Brownwood.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother James Robert Clement. Janice is survived by sister, Sharon Sue Hall Girndt, brother, William Allen Clement, daughter Sharon Shaffstall Diaz and son-in-law Jesse Diaz, son Eric Shaffstall and daughter-in-law Lisa Hale Shaffstall.
Janice, known as MaMere by her grandchildren, has three granddaughters who were the loves of her life, Aubrey Diaz Nelson, Michael Diaz, and Laurel Diaz, two grandsons, Logan and Lucas Shaffstall, and one precious great grandson, Henry Donald Nelson, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family is eternally grateful for the numerous family friends who made MaMere’s last few years full of love and affection. MaMere refused to allow dementia to take away her wicked sense of humor and filled our days with jokes, pranks, and snappy one-liners.
Service will be Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood.
