Funeral services for James Wayne Dudley, 61, of Ft. Worth , formerly of Brownwood , will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill Slaymaker officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home. Visitation was held on Monday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Dudley passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at his home in Ft. Worth , with loved ones by his side.
James Wayne Dudley was born on September 6, 1952, in Brownwood , Texas to Vollie Leon Dudley and Ruth Naomi Baldwin Dudley. On July 6, 2000, Wayne and Mary Reed were married in Brownwood , where he had been a lifelong resident, until moving to Ft. Worth nine years ago
Wayne loved watching NASCAR, making knives and building rustic ranch furniture in his spare time. But most of all, spending time with family and his grandkids, was what he loved the most.
Those left behind to cherish his memories include his wife, Mary Dudley of Ft. Worth; children, Shana and Lawson Germany of Bangs, Robbie and Amber Dudley of Brownwood, James Vollie and Alana Dudley of Brownwood, David and Katie Reed of Crofton, Maryland, Michael Reed of Ft. Worth, Aaron Reed of Ft. Worth; parents, Vollie Leon and Ruth Dudley of Rockport; grandchildren Kandace and J.D. Welch, Mercedes and David Hersha, Terry Davis, Emily Dudley, Naomi Dudley, Alexis Fuentes, Lourie Pruett, Steven Dudley Armstrong, Dewayne Dudley, Derek Dudley, Andrew Dudley, Logan Dudley, Brandon Brownlee, Madison Rhea; Liam Reed, Grace Reed, Emma Reed, and Aiden Reed; great-grandchildren, Gavin Hersha, Kaleb Hersha, Lillian Welch, Dixie Hersha, and Maddox Davis; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Cordie Dudley, Samual and Emma Baldwin and numerous aunts and uncles.
