James Lloyd Williams, Sr., age 88, of Brownwood formerly of Comanche passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
James wishes were to be cremated. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
James was born to Sam and Hildard (Haggard) Williams on December 5, 1927, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was a longtime resident of Comanche County. James worked for Comanche County Precinct 2 doing road construction as well as many other jobs. After retirement from Comanche County, he loved fishing, horses, and his other livestock.He is survived by his 5 children, Richard Lisman of Blanket, James Lloyd Williams, Jr. of Hamilton, Michael Williams of Comanche, Carolyn Ray of Brownwood, and Laura Gould of Brownwood; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
