James “Jim” Wiginton, 70 of Brownwood, passed away March 8, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Hetzel officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation is set for Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, from 5pm to 7pm.
Jim was born October 15, 1940 to R.L. and Irene Wiginton in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1958. He attended Texas Weslean and Tarlton State University. He returned to Brownwood and married Betty Nichols, February 7, 1964. Jim worked in many capacities in the beverage industry, retiring from Coleman Distributors in 2006. He loved music, dancing and was an avid sports fan. Jim’s greatest love and enjoyment were his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Danah Lindsey and husband, Randall of Lake Brownwood and Jamie Richardson O’Dea of Memphis, Tn.; his grandsons, Jerod Martinez and wife, Allison of Stephenville, Tx., Chad Cooper and Bryer Lindsey of Brownwood, Tx., Shane Rutledge of Gallatin, Tn., Brad and Jack Richardson of Fredricksburg, Va.; his granddaughters, Laryn Cantu of Brownwood, Rachael O’Dea of Memphis, Tn., Amy Richardson of Fredricksburg, Va.; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his lovely wife, Betty, his son, Jacky Richardson and daughter Jodi Richardson Cooper.
