Graveside Services for James E. Mitchell, age 79, of San Angelo will be held Wednesday, February 01, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early with Steve Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. He passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012, in Big Spring, TX. James was born on October 20, 1932, in Caldwell, TX to Jessie and Eunice (Stovall) Mitchell.
James was a loving and caring Uncle. He was known for being very polite and funny. He would make an impact on people he met. James served in the U.S. Army. He also served in the U.S. Navy after which he became disabled for several years.
Survivors include his 3 nieces; Vicki Taylor of San Angelo, Jeanie Wagnor of Kingsville, TX, and Molly McGuffie of San Antonio, TX; 7 great nephews and 2 great nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Eunice Mitchell; 2 sisters, Mary Wagnor and Sue Parker; 1 brother Joe Mitchell.
