A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of James Christian Blumenthal will be held on Thursday, January 2, at Union Presbyterian Church at 10:00 AM. A small celebration of his life will continue after the service in the church Fellowship Hall for family and friends.
James Christian Blumenthal, 69 of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Songbird Lodge in Brownwood. James was born December 15, 1944 in Brownwood, Texas to Jules Christian and Viola Jan Parker Blumenthal. He was a lifetime resident of Brownwood and a member of Union Presbyterian Church.
James was a graduate of Brownwood High School in 1963. His first job was for J.R. Beadle Grocery Story in Brownwood, Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store in Georgetown, Riverside Motel in Brownwood, L.B. Bowman, Pulido’s in Brownwood and Aldersgate in Brownwood.
James was survived by a caring friend, Andrew Regian of Brownwood and his Church Family. A sister, Agnes Charmaine and husband Fred Langenegger, two nieces Sara Lee (Clay) Lengenegge and Ruth Ann Reyes (Karl) and one nephew Aaron Christian Langenegger. Five great-nieces, Hali Jordan (Clay) Langenegge, Hanna Elizabeth (Clay) Langenegger, Heddi Catherine (Clay) Langenegger, Bronte Viola Reyes and Glory Bella Reyes and one great-nephew Ayrton Christian Reyes. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles Rodger Bond and Eugene Herschal Blumenthal and one infant sister, Elizabeth Jane Blumenthal.
