HoodJackie Lee Hood came into this physical world on January 27, 1936, to his parents Carrie and Powell Hood. He started school at Owens Elementary in Owens, Texas. His family moved to Early, Texas where he attended Early Elementary. From there they moved to McCamey, Texas where he attended McCamey Schools. He graduated in 1955 from Crane High School.

He was drafted in to the U.S. Navy. He married his high school sweetheart Lillian Lange in February 1956 on his leave from boot camp.

In November 1956, he became a father and his son Tim was born in Bremerton, Washington where Jackie was stationed on the carrier, Uss Princeton. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navey he went to work in 1957 at B & H Electric Company in Crane, Texas. His Daughter Pam was born in Crane Texas in 1959.

He loved God and his family, deer hunting, fishing, and animals. He and his family moved to Orange, Texas around Thanksgiving in 1971, going to work for Exxon Mobile offshore in Louisiana. He moved back to Brownwood in 1996 after retiring in 1991 and living in Jasper, Texas 14 years. At Brownwood he was a member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church at Lake Brownwood.

He is survived by his wife Lillian; his son, Tim and his wife Carolee; his daughter Pam and husband Donald Standley; his eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and family.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Powell in 1970 and his mom, Carrie in 1999.
