She was called home on December 16th to be with our family in Heaven. She passed away in her home in Brownwood following a lengthy illness.
She leaves behind 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren. She will be eternally missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a brother. The world will be a lesser place without her in it. We miss you already, Mom. And we love you. We could never ask for a more caring, giving and loving Mother and friend.
She was born July 28, 1939, to Hollie Hiram “Jack” Duncan and Esther Lou Duncan in Brownwood, where she was loved and raised with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Armed with sweet memories and loving stories of growing up, she travelled to and lived in many towns and states before returning to Brownwood. Although she never attended college, she did graduate from the University of Life. Working many jobs which included waitress, housekeeping, wonderful care-giver and full-time Mom.
Later in life she enjoyed being with family, working in her yard and bingo. She never met a stranger and the Heavens welcome a true Angel that we were fortunate enough o call Mama.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and multiple loved family members that will welcome her home with open arms. We all will miss you, until we see you again.
Loving memorial to be held at a later date, to celebrate this wonderful Lady’s Life.
