The Howard Payne men’s basketball team has been picked to finish 6th in the American Southwest Conference West Division after a vote of each division’s head coaches, sports information directors and media members, the American Southwest Conference office announced on Tuesday.
Howard Payne finished 7-18 overall and 7-14 ASC play under interim head coach, Troy Drummond. Now head coach, coach Drummond has a new recruit class of 12 strong and will look to guide the Yellow Jackets to a successful season in his second year at the helm.
The Jackets have six returners to go with the 12 new faces. Also two former players return to the program in Brock Woods and John Bryant.
