Jasper “Jack” Nelson Vest, age 80, passed away Sunday April 21, 2013 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services for Jack will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday April 26, 2013 at Locker Cemetery with Bill Slaymaker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Jack was born to Melvin and Nellie (Nugent) Vest on October 21, 1932 in Locker, Texas. He married Louise on February 10, 1981 and they were together for 32 years.
He left behind wife Louise Vest of Lake Brownwood; two children Loetta and Lanny of Lake Brownwood; Grandchildren Marvin Thompson of Brownwood, Katrina Roy of Brownwood, Jennifer High of Sweetwater, Nicole Slaughter of Brownwood, Logan Bush of Stephenville, and his special girl, Ellen White of Lake Brownwood; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Lyrena Thompson; great-grandson Sammy Roy; and numerous sisters and brothers.
