J W DuPree Jr., 76, of Early, TX passed away in Brownwood, TX Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
Corky was born June 28, 1942 in Palestine, TX to J W Sr. and Maxine DuPree. He graduated high school in France and joined the US Army. He married the love of his life, Dorothy DuPree in June, 1972. After retiring from the Army, Corky worked for Superior Cable for over 20 years and retired in 2008. He loved to go fishing, hunting, riding horses and spending time with the grandkids.
Corky is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy DuPree; son, Chad and wife Kimberly DuPree of Early, TX; daughters, Sabrina and husband Richard Clinage of Atlanta, GA, LaDonna and husband Thomas Cleveland of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Joann King of Copperas Cove, TX; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & friends.
Corky was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Pamela DuPree; and son-in-law, Gary Woods.
A memorial service is planned for 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel, 303 Early Blvd., Early, TX 76802 officiated by Bobby Machen.
