Graveside funeral services for Ivie Mae Garmon, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2010 at Greenleaf Cemetery. Ms. Garmon passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, August 16, 2010 after spending the day with numerous love ones.
Ivie was born in Brownwood on September 6, 1915, one of eleven children to Bascom and Minnie Pearl Kendrick. Ivie will always be remembered and treasured by family and friends for her kindness and loving ways. Strong and dedicated she exemplified these traits and passed them on to her children and family. A truly beautiful lady in every way she now walks in the beautiful afterlife surrounded by familiar faces of those waiting to take her gentle hands and show her heaven.
Ivie is survived by her two sons, Vick and Kent Garmon, two daughters, Linda Osborne and Sue Pritchard, their spouses, Phyllis Garmon, Carol Garmon, John Osborne and Sammy Holden, ten grandchildren: Jed Garmon, Jace Garmon, LisaTamez, Amy Mehary, Ali Beaman, Ivie-Marie Partridge, Farrah Rahm, Brandi Perez, Shana Thayer, Shane Pritchard , their spouses and seventeen great grandchildren. She is now in heaven with beloved family members, including her husband of sixty-three years, Larry Garmon and son, Darrell Garmon.
