We’re on the brink of fiscal disaster and constitutional collapse, and politicians of both parties keep throwing borrowed money away, and growing the bureaucracy to solve the problems. It hasn’t worked and it won’t work. The Obama administration is and has been an economic disaster, while some of the current Republicans are part of the problem, rather than the solution.

Congressman Mike Conaway believes in “going along to get along, in the party.” That’s not acting on conviction, leading by example, or representing the constituents of District 11. We need principled leadership more desperately now than ever. Rep. Conaway voted for the first TARP, which completely undermined our competitive economic system that had made us the most free and prosperous country in the world. He voted to raise the debt ceiling, which forces the bill for his fiscal irresponsibility on our children and grandchildren.

So what can we do?

To begin with, change the players. Send Chris Younts, who has clearly stated goals and principles and will stand up and fight for them, to Congress.

It’s time for a change, and the best place to start is in the Republican primary on May 29th. Mike Conaway isn’t entitled to my vote, and he isn’t getting it. I’m voting for Chris Younts and hope you do as well.
