Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs reported two more drug related investigations that resulted in arrests on Monday, February 28th.
Around 11:45am BCSO Investigator Carlyle Gover received information that a person, later identified as Thomas Bowden, was in possession of narcotics at the Brown County Courthouse. Bowden was at the courthouse with his girlfriend who had a court hearing scheduled according to the report.
Investigators Gover and Scott Bird went to the courthouse where they confronted Bowden about the allegations. According to Grubbs, Bowden surrendered six and one-half pills of Xanax that he did not hold a prescription for. Bowden was consequently arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance under 28g.
“Investigation is continuing into the source where Bowden received these prescription pills,” stated Grubbs. “More arrests are expected for Deliver of a Controlled Substance against that individual.”
In a separate incident, also on February 28th around 9:30pm, Deputy Jeff Benson was attempting to serve a warrant on Jacqueline Sessions for Motion to Revoke Probation on Possession of Marijuana. Sessions had checked into the Luxury Inn in Early, Texas according to Grubbs and was located in a room where she was found to be additionally in possession of more marijuana and Hydrocodone pills. Sessions was arrested for the warrant and also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.
