The Brown County Sheriff’s Office executed a search and arrest warrant in the 1900 block of Avenue D in Brownwood which resulted in the search for one man and the arrest of three men on drug related charges along with the arrest of a woman for hindering apprehension.
According to Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs, a search and arrest warrant was executed on March 21st around 4pm by BCSO investigators. The warrant was a result of several weeks of investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and involved several individuals.
At the location on Avenue D, Investigator Jason Benefield arrested 42-year-old Noah Ortega. As a result of the search, BCSO seized items used in the distribution of methamphetamine along with a small amount of methamphetamine and prescription drugs according to Grubbs. Ortega was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the methamphetamine, and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the prescription pills without a prescription.
In connection with this investigation, officers began looking for two more individuals; William Orr and Jason Inglet. According to BCSO reports, Investigator Benefield went to a location two doors down and spoke to William Lewis, Jr. and Autumn Alexander with whom both William Orr and Jason Inglet had been staying. It was discovered that after Lewis and Alexander had been made aware of the warrants for Orr and Inglet, they attempted to hide Inglet so he would not be arrested according to Grubbs. A search of their home was conducted where marijuana and methamphetamine were located BCSO reports.
24-year-old Autumn Alexander was arrested for Hindering the Apprehension and 23-year-old William Lewis, Jr. was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1g, Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz, and Hindering the Apprehension of Jason Inglet.
As of late Tuesday afternoon, Autumn Alexander was released after posting a $3500 bond; Jason Inglet turned himself in, was arrested and then released after posting $10,000 bond; and William Lewis, Jr. was still in custody held on $13,500 bond.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office was continuing its efforts to locate William Orr on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Anyone having information to his whereabouts is asked to call their local law enforcement. Brown County Sheriff’s Office may be reached by calling 325-646-5510.
