Michele Reiter, 38, remains missing Thursday as law enforcement officials continue their investigation.
According to Brownwood Police, no new information is being released in the disappearance of Reiter as they continue their investigation. Reiter was last seen on September 10th. According to police reports, Reiter’s roommate reported her missing on September 11th after Reiter did not come home for the night. She also did not report for work that morning at Home Depot, where she had worked for approximately 4 years. The missing Brownwood woman’s vehicle was found Wednesday, September 13th at the Bert Massey Sports Complex.
Friends and family gathered September 14th at a candlelight vigil for Reiter at Coggin Park and are still hoping for her safe return.
Other agencies are assisting the Brownwood Police Department in the investigation including the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety. Law enforcement continued searching for Reiter with the aid of a Department of Public Safety helicopter. Reiter was also recently listed on the Department of Public Safety’s Missing Person Bulletin. Her missing person case is listed as “involuntary” on the DPS database.The DPS missing person’s website states that Ms. Reiter has an average build and was last seen wearing a black and white shirt with blue jeans and black shoes. She has a rosebud tattoo on her right shoulder. Ms. Reiter was last seen driving her 2001 black Ford Focus, which has since been located.
