Funeral Services for Inez Marie Russell, age 61, of Coleman, will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 17, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 16, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Russell passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at a local nursing facility.
Inez Marie Womack was born on August 4, 1953 in Bay City County, Texas to Thomas and Martha Lawrence Womack. She lived in Matagorda, Texas until the age of ten and then moved to Fort Worth.
For most of her adult life she had lived in the Brownwood and Coleman area and on July 3, 1995, Inez married Wylie Russell Sr. in Brown County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Haven of Hope Church in Brownwood.Inez loved music of all kinds and her family was the center of her life. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled her heart with joy, and whether it was a holiday, crocheting or on a camping and fishing trip, a lifetime of memories was made that will be cherished forever.
Survivors include her husband Wylie Russell; five children Melissa Womack, Ann Wilder, Robert Wilder Jr., Jody Wilder and wife Melanie and Elizabeth Bowen; Step-children Wylie Russell Jr., Rebecca Russell, Steven Russell and Maxine Russell; and one brother Jody Womack. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Martha Womack; and numerous siblings.
