Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3278 and the Ladies Auxiliary will observe Independence Day by Posting the National Colors at 11:00am on Monday, July 4th.
The observance will be held at the VFW Post which is located at 2300 Stephen F. Austin. The ceremony will consist of raising the flag to the sound of “To the Colors” followed by a reading of the history of the first announcement of the Declaration of Independence.
The public is invited to attend. Following the ceremony, the Post will recognize their volunteers who have supported the Post’s function during the year by having an 4th of July cookout.
