Funeral Services for Nova Imogene Lloyd “Jean”, age 80, of Brownwood, will be held Thursday December 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood with Rick Justice officiating, interment to follow at Rocky Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. She passed away Monday December 12, 2011 at her home with family by side, after a short battle with Cancer in Brownwood, Texas. Imogene was born on November 01, 1931 in Coleman County, Texas to William Wesley “Wes” and Della Elmira (Hudson) Horton.
She married David Lloyd on October 15, 1948; they spent 60 happy years together devoted to their 3 daughters, family and friends. Imogene was loved by everyone that she knew. She was a friend, mother, and grandmother to everyone. She was also a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed family outings and gatherings.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Carolyn Dosier and husband Barney of Weatherford, Rhonda Smith of Early. 4 grandchildren: Melissa Lewis of Burleson, Brian Dosier of Ft. Worth, Christopher Henson of Comanche, and Jonathan Smith of Brownwood, 1 great-grandchild Madison Lewis; also a multitude of nieces and nephews. Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Lloyd and a daughter Linda Henson, also 3 brothers and 1 sister.
