volleyballlogoThe Howard Payne volleyball team dominated from the start and posted a 3-0 (25-8, 25-16-25-14) non-conference victory over visiting Texas College Tuesday evening at the Brownwood Coliseum.

The Lady Jackets started by taking the first set 25-8 sparked by a .391 attack pct. The HPU reserves would see action in the next two sets and continue the pressure taking the sets 25-16 and 25-14.

Hannah Hartshorn had seven kills followed by Sarah Bishop with six. Harli Benham and Briana Williams each added four kills in the match.
Taylor Jordan recorded four service aces. Allyson Adams led with 12 assists along with three service aces and Shelby Bridges led with nine digs.

Howard Payne improves to 10-4 overall and Texas College falls to 0-10 on the year. The Lady Jackets will play next weekend at the American Southwest Conference pod tournament at Sul Ross State University in Alpine. They will play Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday at 1:00 pm and Concordia Texas at 10:00 am and Sul Ross State at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
