The Howard Payne University volleyball team fell to 1-4 in American Southwest Conference action with a 1-3 (25-12, 21-25, 23-25, 27-29) road loss to Concordia University Texas Thursday evening.
Howard Payne picked up the first game 25-12 before losing three highly contested games to Concordia 21-25, 23-25, 27-29.
Tamika Heline finished with 15 kills and 19 digs for HPU. Amber Cantu-Curry had 39 assists and Cathie Kilmartin had one block solo and 7 block assists at the net.
Amanda Affolter had 17 kills for Concordia followed by Kevyn Jackson and Jessie Elaban with 10 each. Both teams had around a .132 attack pct for the match. Howard Payne stands at 7-6 overall and 1-4 in ASC action, while Concordia improves to 3-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
The Lady Jackets will play at home this Saturday in a non-conference match-up with the University of Dallas at 6:00 pm.
