The Howard Payne University volleyball took game one but dropped the next three and lost to Schreiner University in conference action Tuesday evening in Kerrville.
The Lady Jackets won the first game 25-22 but fell in the next three 17-25, 20-25, 18-25. Howard Payne, who now stands at 9-8 overall on the year, had a .039 attack pct for the match.
Schreiner, now at 6-11 overall, had 10 service aces and 15 total blocks to HPU’s 5 aces and 9 blocks. Caitlin Gayle led Schreiner with 10 kills, 7 blocks, and a .333 attack pct.
HPU was led by Sarah Bishop with 10 kills and 10 digs. Amber Cantu-Curry had 19 assists and Megan Pick added three service aces.
Howard Payne will play next on Thursday in Abilene against ASC opponent McMurry University.
