Howard Payne University will host Resurrection Week, the university’s annual spring revival, April 2-4. The featured speaker for the week is Mike Satterfield of Field of Grace Ministries from Alabaster, Alabama. Music will be provided by Roger Cullins, a worship leader and songwriter from Houston. Cullins is a 2003 graduate of HPU.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday through Wednesday and 7:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the university’s Mims Auditorium. All services are open to the public.
On Monday at 2:30 p.m., there will be a meet-and-greet time for students to get to know the Resurrection Week team at the “Hub,” HPU’s Baptist Student Ministry office.
After-service fellowships will be held in front of Mims Auditorium on Monday and Tuesday evenings beginning at 8:45 p.m. Additionally, there will be a prayer meeting for the Resurrection Week services on Sunday, April 1, at 9:00 p.m., in the Bullion Suites of the Mabee University Center.
Striving for as much prayer as possible for the week, students will lead a Prayer Walk around campus Monday-Wednesday at 7 a.m. beginning at Mims Auditorium.
“I am super excited about Mike and Roger coming to lead us in a time of spiritual renewal and challenge,” said Corey Ash, HPU’s director of bands and chapel director. “There’s going to be a lot of prayer going on during these few days, and I know that our Lord will honor His Word by meeting us all in a special way during this time. It’s always great to see what God does when we take time to focus on Him and His Word.”
