Howard_Payne_logosmallThe Symphonic Band of Howard Payne University will be presenting its annual holiday concert on Tuesday evening, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.

The band will be performing several holiday favorites, including Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.” The program will also feature HPU Music Professor, Mr. Stephen Goacher, on alto saxophone in the Mel Torme classic, “the Christmas Song.” As well as HPU Music Professor and soprano, Dr. Celeste Church, singing with the band on Ron Nelson’s “Aspen Jubilee,” along with several other selections.

The community is invited to attend and there is no admission for the holiday concert. A reception will follow the concert.

The symphonic band is under the direction of Mr. Corey Ash, assistant professor of music.
