The Howard Payne University women’s soccer team got a first half goal from Jordyn Stephens but could not answer Huston-Tillotson University’s second half game winner in a 2-1 season opening loss.
A Jordyn Stephens goal in the first half secured a 1-1 tie for the Lady Jackets at the break. Huston-Tillotson scored the game winning goal in the second with Howard Payne unable to answer. Stephens’ goal was the first of her career.
The Lady Jackets will play next on Sept. 10th in Irving, Texas in a non-conference match with the University of Dallas.

The Yellow Jackets will continue non-conference play on Sept. 10th in Irving, Texas versus the University of Dallas.
