The new Howard Payne University Running Club will host their first campus event on Monday, May 3. The Brain Boost Fun Run will begin at 8 p.m. on the steps of the HPU Mabee University Center. Participants can choose to run one mile or a 5K.
According to organizers of the event, the purpose of the run is to encourage students to boost their brain power during finals week.
The HPU Running Club is open to faculty, staff and students with an interest in pursuing running and overall health. The goal of the organization is to participate in area races, learn more about nutrition and fellowship with fellow runners.
