Howard Payne University honored those who lost their lives during the 2011 attacks on our country with a memorial program titled “Remembering 9/11: A Decade Later” Sunday afternoon.

The program featured keynote speaker Lt. Gen. James Terry Scott (U.S. Army, retired) who urged the audience to focus on the courage displayed by American citizens in the wake of the attacks.

Faculty and students presented skits and musical numbers, and the Concert Choir presented selections such as “The Dream Isaiah Saw” and “The Prayers of St. Francis.” The colors were presented and posted by members of the 111th Engineer Battalion of Brownwood.
