Howard Payne University’s School of Music and Fine Arts will present a senior recital featuring Chris Bell, piano, on Friday, November 12, at 7:30 p.m. The recital will be held in HPU’s Mims Auditorium.
Bell is a music major from Mesquite, Texas. He will soon complete requirements for the Bachelor of Music Education and the Bachelor of Music in piano with emphasis in pedagogy and accompanying. Bell has accompanied the HPU Concert Choir, Heritage Singers, Winds of Triumph and numerous vocal and instrumental soloists. Last spring, he presented a solo junior recital and performed at the dedication of the newly renovated Mims Auditorium.
During his recital, he will perform selections by J.S. Bach, Franz Schubert, Frederic Chopin, Antonin Dvorak, Claude Debussy and Sergei Prokofiev.
