December 11, 2009 – Howard Payne University has named Kevin Kirk the new Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management.
In this role, Kirk will oversee the Admission, Recruiting and Financial Aid areas of the university.
“Kevin joins HPU possessing a broad base of experience in admission and financial aid and is widely respected as one of the most knowledgeable enrollment professionals in Baptist Higher Education circles,” said Dr. Brad Johnson, vice president for enrollment and student services. “A native of Cisco, Texas, Kevin will be a great fit for Howard Payne University. We are thrilled to welcome him and his family to the Brownwood area,” Johnson added.
Prior to coming to HPU, Kirk served as Director of the Campus Visits Office at Baylor University, where he was employed for the last 13 years. His job involved coordinating the daily visits of more than 35,000 guests each year. Kirk also served as Associate Director of the Office of Admission Services and Grant Coordinator for the Office of Academic Scholarships and Financial Aid.

He is currently serving as the Secretary for the Executive Board of the Collegiate Information & Visitor Services Association (CIVSA), a nationwide professional organization that is focused on the enrichment of the campus visit experience. He is also a member of the Texas Association for College Admissions Counseling, National Association for College Admissions Counseling and National Association of Baptist Enrollment Professionals.
Kirk holds the Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in 1993. He and his wife, Lauren, have three daughters – Lindsey, Bethany and Aubrey.
