Howard Payne University is making plans for the 2011 Homecoming themed “All Roads Lead Home” coming the weekend of October 14-16 and is putting out a call for volunteers to help with the event.
“We would like to include HPU alumni, students, faculty, staff as well as members of the Brownwood community as volunteers for this weekend,” said volunteer coordinator Miranda Marsh.
Marsh said that a variety of volunteer opportunities are available during homecoming this year. These include:
- greeting at various sports events that weekend
- decorating tables for the picnic on Saturday
- working in the Dr. Pepper Trailer
- registering participants for the weekend
- serving food/drinks at the picnic on Saturday
“Most of the jobs will only require half an hour to an hour of time with the exception of a few events,” Marsh said.
Those interested in helping out can contact HPU volunteer coordinator Miranda Marsh at 325-647-8632 or by email at mirandamarsh1@gmail.com
