ChurchEllisWallaceThe Howard Payne University School of Music and Fine Arts will present a faculty concert of American music on Tuesday, November 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Grace Chapel in the Paul and Jane Meyer Faith and Life Leadership Center.  Performing faculty members will be Dr. Gregory Church, assistant professor of music, tenor; Dr. Celeste Church, assistant professor of music, Soprano; Dr. Elizabeth Wallace, professor of music, piano; and Dr.  Diana Ellis, guest artist, Mezzo-Soprano.

The concert will include a wide variety of American song, including spirituals/gospel, Broadway, arias and art song.  Composers/arrangers include Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, John Carter, Robert Tucker, Leonard Bernstein, Katherine Freiberger, David Ashley White, Richard Cummings, Kurt Weill, and Carlisle Floyd.
