Several Howard Payne University faculty and staff members wore red on Friday in support of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign for heart health awareness.

The Brown County American Heart Association will host their 2013 Heart Gala on March 2, 2013 at the Brownwood Country Club.

The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.  Gary Bowen will be this year’s honoree.

The Gala will feature live entertainment by Janna Williams, a presentation by Dallas Huston, dinner, silent and live auctions with auctioneer Shawn Hardin.  There will be more than 100 silent auction items which include a hog hunt and a quilt made from Go Red t-shirts.  There will also be dancing with Todd King as the DJ.

Tickets are still available at $50 per person and sponsorships of the event are still available.
