The Howard Payne University men’s and women’s cross country teams had a solid outing at the Texas Lutheran University Invitational this weekend.
Derek Wilson was HPU’s top finisher on the men’s side with a time of 29:24.2 in the 37th spot in the meet.
Geremy Garza finished at 30:38.7, Josh Snow at 32:32.3, Quinton Poe at 32:50.5, Bryan Anderson at 34:54.3 and Colton Phelps at 36:45.5
On the women’s side, Carissa Zarate was the top Lady Jacket finisher at 21:59.1 in the 46th spot. Abrienne Gutierrez at 22:32.8, Baillie Trumble at 25:41.2, Jessica Bailey at 25:41.2, Amanda Gober at 26:18.5 and Tylene Middleton at 28:13.7
Both teams will be running next at the Ricardo Romo Six Flags Fiesta Texas Classic in San Antonio on September 16th.
