The Howard Payne University Symphonic Band and Concert Choir will present Christmas concerts on Friday, December 3, and Saturday, December 4, in conjunction with the Brownwood Chamber’s “Christmas Under the Stars” weekend event. The concerts, which are free to the public, will be held at 8 p.m. each night in HPU’s Mims Auditorium.
The HPU Symphonic Band, under the direction of Corey Ash, will perform Christmas selections including “Russian Christmas Music,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Festival Prelude on Adeste Fidelis.”
The groups will combine to perform “Many Moods of Christmas,” featuring guest soloist Dr. Diana Ellis, and “The First Noel.”
The HPU Concert Choir, under the direction of Monte Garrett, will perform “Mary, Did You Know?”
