Kevin Kirk, assistant vice president for enrollment management at Howard Payne University, recently began his term as president of the National Association of Baptist Enrollment Professionals at the group’s annual conference at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis. Kirk was voted president-elect at the 2010 meeting at Mississippi College.
NABEP provides networking and professional development opportunities for Baptist colleges and universities throughout the United States. The group currently consists of 25 member schools.
“Reflected in his election as president of NABEP is an acknowledgment of Kevin as one of the most respected enrollment professionals in the business,” said Dr. Brad Johnson, senior vice president for institutional advancement. “HPU is very fortunate to have Kevin’s leadership and expertise at work on our campus, and one of his first actions as president was to secure the 2012 NABEP Conference to be held in Brownwood on the HPU campus.”According to Kirk, the benefits of his involvement with NABEP go beyond professional development.
“This is a great professional opportunity and a source of spiritual encouragement,” Kirk said. “It is great to be a part of a group of people who are all busy doing Kingdom work. We all come together for the same purpose – to help students get where God is calling them.”
