Howard Payne University announced its upcoming sports summer camps for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball.
Football: The Howard Payne football program will be having their summer football camp for for grades 3 – 12 on June 21st – June 24th.
The HPU Football Staff will give personal instruction on individual techniques and fundamentals. This non-padded camp is divided into two sessions and is available to any student entering 3rd – 12th grades for the 2010 school year.

Cost: $60.00 Early Registrations $55.00 (if received by June 14, 2010)
Both sessions will take place at HPU Football practice fields located behind the McCullough Athletic Complex located at 2nd and Hawkins Street.
HPU Football Camp Staff includes – Steve Fanara Head Coach / Kickers, Roger Geise Defensive Coordinator, Defensive Line / LB’ers, Jordan Neal Offensive Coordinator, QB’s / Running Backs, Steve Fox Defensive Backs, Lance Unger Offensive Line, Hunter Sims Wide Receivers, and other current HPU players.
Soccer: The Howard Payne soccer programs will be having their annual soccer camp on June 8th – 11th at Citizens National Bank Soccer Field.
For boys and girls ages 4-17 years, the cost for Yellow Jacket Soccer Camp session is $70.00. An early registration price of $60.00 is available (by May 15th). Cost includes Yellow Jacket T-shirt.

Camp Directors are Kevin Wright – Men’s Coach at Howard Payne University. Kevin holds his NSCAA Advanced National License and Sam McCutchen – Head Coach for the Howard Payne University Soccer team. He is a veteran coach with over 30 years of coaching experience with numerous state championship appearances in club and high school soccer.
Other camp staff coaches include high school coaches, current and former HPU players, and various Classic/Select coaches.
Men’s Basketball: The Howard Payne men’s basketball program will be having their summer basketball camp on June 28th – July 1st at the Elliston-Cassle Wellness Center on the Howard Payne campus.
Sessions one will be for boys entering grades 2nd-5th at 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Session two for boys entering grades 6th-8th from 1:30-4:30 pm.
Cost is $70.00 registering before May 15th. Registration after May 15th cost will be $75.00. If you have more than one child the cost of the camp is $65.00 per child. Registration includes a t-shirt.
Camp will be directed by head HPU coach Troy Drummond, assistant coach Matt Zinser, and HPU players. Women’s Basketball: The Howard Payne women’s basketball program will be having their basketball camps on June 7th-10th and 14th-17th this summer at the Elliston-Cassle Wellness Center on the Howard Payne campus.
The camp on the 7th -10th will be for girls entering grades 2-5 for the morning session from 9:00am-12:00pm. The second session will run from 1:30pm-4:30pm for girls entering grades 6-8. The camp on the 14th-17th will be for girls entering grades 9-12 and will run from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Cost of the camp is $75.00 if you register before May 15th. If you have more than one child the cost of the camp is $65.00 per child. Registration after May 15th will be $80.00. If you register more than one child the cost is $70.00 per child. Registration includes a t-shirt.

Baseball: The Howard Payne baseball program will be having their annual summer camp June 28th – July 1st at Don Shepard Park.
The camp is for ages 6 to 14 years and will be from 8:30 am to 12:00 (noon). Early registration is $55.00 (deadline June 18th) and day of camp registration is $60.00.
The camp coaching staff includes- head HPU baseball coach Stephen Lynn, assistant coach Jerry Don Gleaton, student assistant Cale Thompson, and camp instrutors, Jose Sierra, Allen McGee, Matt Lynn, and Ramiro Garza.

Softball: The Howard Payne softball program will having their summer softball camps on June 28th – 30th and July 12th – 15th.
The June 28th – 30th camp will be an overnight Team and Position Camp for grades 7th thru 12th. The July 12th–15th camp is a Fundamental Play Camp for 4th – 9th graders.
Cost of Camps:
June 28th – 30th camp – $250 or Day Camper – $100
July 12th–15th camp – $75.00
