Howard Payne University has announced the Homecoming Court for 2011. The HPU Homecoming queen and princess will be crowned on Friday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. during the Homecoming Convocation in the university’s Mims Auditorium.

Homecoming princess nominees are Kathryn Barrackman, a junior mathematics and political science major from Cypress; Kayla Castillo, a junior criminal justice major from Fort Worth; and Laura Peisker, a junior mathematics major from Cedar Park.

Homecoming queen nominees are Rachael Amy, a senior Christian education major from Lumberton; Ciera Culpepper, a senior family studies major from Zephyr; and Angela Haney, a senior political science major from Denison.

The Homecoming Court will be featured in the parade on Saturday, Oct. 15, beginning at 11 a.m., and in the half-time show of the football game versus Louisiana College at Gordon Wood Stadium at 2 p.m.

The student body selects the court each year by elections coordinated through the Student Government Association.
