Funeral services for Howard Bailiff, 50, of Mansfield Texas, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 9 am to 11 am, preceding the service.  Private family interment will follow.

Mr. Bailiff passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2013, in Arlington Texas.

Howard Wayne Bailiff was born on November 26, 1962, in Pampa Texas to James Donald Bailiff and Martha Lucille Fulbright Bailiff. He married Kerri Edwards on December 4, 2009, in Mansfield Texas.  All his life he had been a very curious person, taking things apart and then putting them back together again. He was an excellent Machinist and was a Scientific Instrument Maker with the University of Texas at Arlington. He was also an integral part of helping students complete their classes and did creative work for the Physics Lab. He had lived in Mansfield for the last 8 years, moving there from Cheyenne WY.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Kerri Bailiff of Mansfield Texas; his daughter, Meagan Bailiff of McKinney; granddaughter, Eisley Bailiff also of McKinney; his parents, James and Ann Bailiff of Brownwood and Martha Close of Big Sandy, Texas; brothers, David Lee Bailiff and wife Cynthia of Allen Texas, and Steven Bailiff of San Antonio; and sister, Starla Cason of Abilene.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Bailiff.
