Howard Payne University students took to the streets on a recent weekend introducing themselves to, and praying over, fellow Brownwood residents. IMPACT 2011, the HPU Baptist Student Ministry’s annual weekend of community service and prayer, worked in conjunction with Coggin Avenue Baptist Church’s Love Brownwood ministry to provide prayer and evangelism throughout town. Students are pictured above praying on campus before embarking on their walk.

IMPACT participants also served Brownwood’s Hope Home Ministry, a faith-based transitional home for young women exiting the Texas Youth Commission system, by clearing brush and mowing the lawn. Pictured below:  Brandi Wright, left, a freshman from Brownwood, and Samuel Marich-Edwan, a freshman from Arlington, are shown clearing brush at the home.
