ColorGlassHoward Payne University is hosting a new fine art exhibit in the Dorothy and Wendell Mayes Art Gallery inside the HPU’s Doakie Day Art Center through Friday, May 6th.  The exhibit titled “Beauty through the Eyes of a Photographer…A Journey in Print” will feature the fine art photography of the Brownwood Art Association’s Photo Group.

The Photo Group expects to have 52 photographs representing some 13 different photographers.  This is a non-themed exhibit so the type of photography on exhibit will be very wide ranging and should be of interest to all that attend, according to organizers.

The exhibit will open to the general public on Monday, April 25th and run thru Friday, May 6th.  Gallery hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. week days.  The gallery is closed on the weekends.  The exhibit is open to the public and is free.

The art center is located on the HPU campus, on Center Avenue, near Lipscomb Street in Brownwood.  All inquires may be directed to David Harmon, Professor of Art and Chair of the Department of Art, at (325) 649-8088 or dharmon@hputx.edu.
