Graveside services for Howard Fore, age 87, of Early, Texas will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas with Rev. Terry Easley officiating under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.  Mr. Fore passed away Wednesday at his home.

Herman Howard Fore Jr. was born on October 22, 1924 in Garber, Oklahoma to Herman Howard and Lena Mae Carter Fore.  He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was married to Carol Forlines in Lovington, New Mexico on January 12, 1951.  He resided in Denver City, Texas from 1953 – 1985 where he retired as a maintenance foreman from Shell Oil and had volunteered for the fire dept.  In 1985 he moved to Gardendale, Texas where he was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years.  He had lived in Early, Texas for the past two years and was a fifty year member of the Masonic Lodge.

Wife:               Carol Fore of Early, Texas

Daughters:       Judy Chapman and husband Perry of Odessa, Texas; Jan Gruben and husband Carl of Brownwood, Texas

Sister:              Glenna June Sirkel and husband J.W. of Boise, Idaho

Ten Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Victor Fore and Bob Fore.
