Multiple units responded to a major house fire in the 3400 block of Durham Avenue late Thursday morning around 11am.

Flames were showing as fire crews responded to the scene.  Significant damage was caused by the fire, including partial structure collapse, according to officials.  No injuries were reported, as the residents were not home at the time of the fire.

Multiple Brownwood Fire Department units, a crew from Early Volunteer Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene while Brownwood Police provided traffic control.  Firefighters were in the interior of the home still fighting the fire after more than 30 minutes from the initial call.   By noon, the fire was reported as being under control with crews still putting out hot spots.

No cause of the fire was reported; however, investigation to follow by Fire Marshal Buddy Preston.
