Brownwood News – Five county fire departments responded to a structure fire at 12:30 pm Sunday at 3340 Surfside Drive at North Lake Brownwood.
North Lake Volunteer Fire Department had a truck on scene initially before Brownwood, Early, Lake Bridge and May fire departments arrived to find smoke coming from the attic. According to Early Fire Chief, Chad Hill, there was extensive damage to the kitchen but the house was saved. The fire is under investigation by Early Fire Marshal, Seth Ringler, and Brownwood Fire Marshal, Buddy Preston.
