Brownwood News – The Greenleaf Cemetery 2019 Holiday Trail of Lights will be open each night, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, December 20 through Monday, December 23.
Enter the trail only at 2701 Highway 377 South at Sterling Monument.
Exit the trail only on the Center Street Gate.
As you enter the Trail of Lights, volunteers of the Greenleaf Cemetery Association will greet you. If you care to donate to the Cemetery Association, you may do so when you enter. “It should take 3 to 5 minutes to drive through. We hope everybody will come out and support Greenleaf Cemetery, celebrate the holidays with us, show their respect and celebrate the lives of those who came before us and all the good memories we have of those families,” said Steve Harris, association president.
Last year, the Cemetery Association planted five memorial trees. “Darla Fletcher has been so gracious to help us out with this event this year. If you have a loved one that is buried at Greenleaf or anywhere else that you would like to pay tribute to and memorialize, Darla will be there collecting those ornaments as you drive in. Just hand the ornaments to Darla and she will then go place them on the memorial trees,” Harris said.
