Hiram Raymond “Rayme” Beck III, age 51, of Early died Wednesday morning in Sweetwater.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel
with Pastor Todd King officiating. Burial will follow in the Winchell Cemetery in Brown County.
He was born August 29, 1959 in Luling, Texas the son of Hiram Raymond Jr. and Deanna Penry Beck. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1977 and attended TSTI for a short period of time. He was married to Leona Lynn Moore in Brownwood on January 8, 1983. He had worked as a conductor for BNSF railroad for over 30 years starting shortly after graduating from school.
He loved his kids and sharing in their activities and was an avid sports fan. He also loved their dogs, Cassie, Boomer, and Pilot whom he affectionately called his grand dogs. His favorite hobby was tinkering with cars.He is survived by his wife, Lynn Beck of Early; Daughter, Shannon Beck of Dallas; 2 Sons – Bryan Beck and Brad Beck both of Early ; Mother, Deanna Beck of Hempstead; Brother, Terry Beck and wife Deeia of Austin and their children Ashley and Christy; Brother-in-law Marvin Moore; Nieces and nephews – A. J. and Taylor Moore, Staci and Emily Moore.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hiram Raymond Beck, Jr.
The family requests memorials be made to the Youth Baseball Association in his memory as baseball was one of his favorite pastimes.
Also, it was his wish to be an organ donor so that his life could live on in others.
