Herman W. Boenicke

Funeral Services for Herman W. Boenicke, age 95, of Brookesmith, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday October 13, 2010 at the Davis Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Wells officiating, interment to follow in Trickham Cemetery under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Boenicke passed away Monday morning at a local nursing home.

Herman was born September 27, 1915, in Brown County, Texas, to the late Edmund Heinrich and Annie Pauline (Schroeder) Boenicke. He married Annie Laura Davis on December 14, 1935 and worked as a rancher and farmer. He was a member of the Brookesmith Baptist Church, and the Clabber Hill and Mt. Zion Communities in Brown County where he grew up.

Herman is survived by a daughter Barbara Sanderson of Arlington; two sons, Edwin D. Boenicke of Brownwood, and Willie R. Boenicke of Brownwood; grandsons, Brent Sanderson of Arlington, granddaughters, Theresa Stout of Ft. Worth, and Cyndi Zagorski of Early; grandsons, Conice Boenicke of Del Rio, and Ryan Boenicke of Brownwood, and a step-grandson, Justin Haynes of Woodbury Mn; along with eight great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by, his parents, wife, Annie Boenicke, brother Arnold Emil Boenicke, and a sister, Laurena Drumm.
