Herbert “Herb” Tisdale, age 69, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord Monday, June 13, 2016, at his residence.
Memorial Services for Herb will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Curt Schneider officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Herb was born on March 15, 1947, to Clarence and Lennie (Dalton) Tisdale in Ft. Worth. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1969, majoring in Horticulture. In 1972, he received his Masters from Tarleton. Herb attended Grace Lutheran Church.
He loved restoring classic Mustangs, owning several. He enjoyed going to old car shows too. Herb spent 33 years with the love of his life, Janet.Herb is survived by his wife, Janet Tisdale; son, Matt Arrington and wife Skye of Early; 9 grandchildren, Josh Arrington, Dylan Arrington, Connor Arrington, Chazz Crooks, Rachel Arrington, Anna Arrington, Mattie Arrington, Jaxon Arrington, and Mitchell Callaway; two great-grandchildren, Winrey Arrington and Zoey Arrington; brothers, Olan Tisdal and wife Nannette of Fredericksburg, and Sam Tisdale of San Saba. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jim Arrington; daughter, Karyn Arrington; and sister, Susie Norvell.
