On October 25, 2010, Henry (Hank) Weiershausen went to meet his Lord and Savior. He loved the Lord, his church, and his country. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Early. He was a loving husband, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He was born in Kendall County on April 2, 1926, to Waler and Minka Weiershausen. He attended school at Palo Alto. He later joined the army to serve his country during World War II, serving in Okinawa, Yokohama, and Hiroshima returning with the rank of Master Sergeant.
He married Dora Alice Grobe in 1948 in Fredericksburg. He wore many hats during his lifetime, including working as a driller in the oil fields, as a carpenter, a rancher, a musician, in construction, among other fields. He loved his horses and cattle. He rode in many horse patrols and parades such as the Harris Co. Sheriff Posse, the Brown Co. Sheriff Posse, Shrine Horse Patrol, and Texas Range Riders. He left many landmarks where he worked as a carpenter foreman at Shell Plaza One, Astroworld, and many others. Following his retirement, he and his wife bought a ranch at Zephyr and then upon his illness, moved to Brownwood and Early. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge,
the Shrines, and the Scottish Rite.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Turnbow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 PM on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Zephyr Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Dora Weiershausen,

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steen Weiershausen.
